September 2009 - TripZip starts advertising with EasyJet
Due to the similarities between low cost flights and low cost chauffeur journeys, TripZip is now advertising on the EasyJet website and in their inflight magazine.
July 2009 - Nationwide door drop to commence to target frequent flyers
Trip Zip is to commence a nationwide door drop by the Royal Mail of a high quality flyer targeted at frequent flyers. This campaign also includes a complementary e-mail flyer which will be released at the same time.
9 June 2009 - Tripzip's first journey auction ends
We are pleased to announce that Trip Zip's first journey auction has successfully ended with a passenger receiving a great rate and a Private Hire/Chauffeur business filling empty space. The auction involved five Private Hire/Chauffeur businesses competing to win the business during an auction which lasted six days.
1 June 2009 - Trip Zip has commenced a major advertising campaign
For the next 6 months, a Trip Zip advert will appear under the UK map within the British Airways 'Highlife' inflight magazine which will reach over 30 million passengers. During June 2009, Trip Zip will be releasing a nationwide mail shot to Travel Agents, Frequent Flyers and Private Hire/Chauffeur Businesses which includes a plastic card for people to keep as a 'handy' reminder to use the service. As well as other 'travel' related publications, Trip Zip is sponsoring links within Internet Search Engines such as Google.
27 May 2009 - Trip Zip Website went LIVE at the PHTM trade show at the Ricoh Arena
We are pleased to anounce that the Trip Zip website officially went live at 12pm on 27 May 2009. During the Private Hire and Taxi Monthly trade show, Trip Zip received an amazing repsonse with hundreds of Private Hire/Chauffeur businesses registering to use the service. Feedback on the Trip Zip concept, which is based on 'eBay' style auctioning of journey's, was very positive with numerous quotes stating that 'a service like this is very much needed'.

6 March 2009 - Countdown to Website Launch has begun
Trip Zip website is set to go live on 27 May 2009. We have added a countdown timer to the home page so that you can track progress

5 December 2008 – Trip Zip becomes registered as a private limited company
Trip Zip has become Trip Zip Limited with 3 Directors and a Company Secretary. All the members of the board of directors are very familiar with undertaking airport transfers due to being frequent flyers and, therefore, they appreciate the issues facings Private Hire/Chauffeur businesses and Passengers when undertaking this form of travel.
10 November 2008 - Tripzip.biz is set to launch in May 2009
The tripzip.biz website is scheduled to be complete and undergo final testing tested in April 2009. The service is planned to go live in May 2009. Our launch advertising campaign is currently being developed and will include a direct mail pack to 12,000 Private Hire/Chauffeur businesses across the UK and nationwide advertising to Passengers and Travel Agents.
1 October 2008 - Exciting new service is currently under development
An exciting new service based around the ‘ebay’ concept is currently under development for the UK Private Hire/Chauffeur industry. Our aim is to beat the credit crunch by making it more efficient for Private Hire/Chauffeur businesses to operate whilst providing competitive fares to Passengers by minimizing the number of times a Private Hire Vehicle travels without a Fare Paying Passenger.
