code of conduct when using TripZip

As we continue to develop this innovative service, we have produced a Code of Conduct for users to follow. Similar to eBay, there is a business etiquette that should be adopted when using TripZip:

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PASSENGERS/TRAVEL AGENTS

When placing a listing, please consider carefully the auction end time.  Please do not set this with a long duration or to end too close to the journey start time. It is recommended that an auction lasts for between 2 to 4 days and ends at least 48 hours before the journey starts.

After placing a listing, please do not make alternative arrangements unless the auction ends without any bids.  In the event that your journey auction is unsuccessful, please consider re-listing your journey with an increased maximum fare.

When your journey auction is successful, please contact the Private Hire/Chauffeur business to confirm arrangements.

Please pay the Private Hire/Chauffeur business the winning fare in line with the payment timing and method specified in the listing. Where possible, this should be in advance by credit card.

In the event that you need to cancel a journey, please inform TripZip and the Private Hire/Chauffeur business giving as much notice as possible.

Code of Conduct for Private Hire/Chauffeur Businesses

If you bid on a journey, please ensure you keep a suitable vehicle available and monitor the status of the bid. In the event that you win, you are obviously expected to fulfill the journey for the Passenger.

When you win a journey auction, please contact the Passenger as soon as possible to confirm the booking.

Please do not tout for future business when transporting a TripZip Passenger. Instead please focus on providing an exceptional service and positively encouraging Passengers to use the TripZip service again. You will have the opportunity to then bid on their future business.

Please do not try to undermine the TripZip service to avoid paying commission. If we do not make money, then the service will fail. Therefore, please help us build on the very positive start by using the service in the way intended
